Having a tough outer core and a soft inner core. The very first step of the manufacturing process involves passing the steel wires through a rolling mill stand. Thereafter, these rolled steel wires are again passed through the Tempcore water cooling system. While passing the wires through the water cooling system, the water pressure is optimised. The sudden quenching and drastic change in temperature toughen the outer layer of the steel bar, thus making it super tough and durable. Once this process is over, the TMT bars are subject to atmospheric cooling. This is done in order to equalise the temperature difference between the soft inner core and the tough exterior.

With a very controlled manufacturing process, Agni  Steels produce this superior quality of TMT bars. • Bond Strength: The bond strength of all SAIL TMT Bars has been tested at the National Test House, Alipore, Kolkata and meets IS 1786-2008 norms. 
• Weldability: These bars are perfectly weldable by normal process of welding with suitable electrodes. They are also weldable without preheating, preferably with low hydrogen ectrode. The weldabillty of bars has been rested and certified by the Welding Research Institute, Trichy.
• Bendability: All bars have lower bend diameter compared to specified bend diameters as per IS 1786-2008, 008, Grade D specification. This allows easier bending with less effort and thus facilities easier onsite works. 
• Earthquake & Fire Resistance: All bars are able to withstand fire hazards when enclosed in concrete up to 600 Degree C, whereas ordinary TMT starts losing its mechanical properties from 250 Degree C. 
• Corrosion Resistance: It is also available in corrosion-resistant variety (NCR) with modified chemical compositions to give enhanced resistance to seismic and corrosive atmospheric conditions.

JSPL produces Jindal TMT Rebars at its most modern rebar mill 1 MTPA capacity located in Patratu, Jharkhand.

The company produces TMT rebars with latest on-line high yield quenching and self tempering (HYQST) technology. The modern mill equipped with morgan enhanced temperature control system (METS) produces TMT rebars in 6mm to 40 mm diameter suitable for high strength applications.

The production of TMT rebars involve a combination of plastic deformation of steel in austenitic stage followed by quenching and further tempering. The process controls at each critical operation ensure uniform properties in each rebar and provides the TMT rebars with a soft ferrite and pearlite fine grained core, a strong and tough tempered martensite layer imparting it with high ductility as well as strength thus making it ideal for high rises, dams, bridges, individual houses and any critical structures where high yield strength is required without compromising on the elongation properties.

The TMT rebars are conforming to the latest BIS-1786: 2008 specifications and are available in Fe 500D, Fe 550D&600 grade in normal, EQR & CRS quality, where Fe 500D grade is highly suitable for seismic prone areas.

Cut n Bend Bars

Welded Wire Mesh
